Georgia Southern Botanical Garden

Hubbard & Hudson partnered with Georgia Southern University to create a welcoming entrance feature for the Botanic Garden that serves multiple functions while maintaining harmony with the natural landscape. The project emphasized sustainability by repurposing an abandoned structure and integrating it seamlessly into the garden environment.

About the Project

The Botanic Garden needed an entrance feature that would guide visitors and provide information without disrupting the natural aesthetic. The challenge included working with an old abandoned structure and maximizing material reuse for sustainability. Hubbard & Hudson collaborated closely with Georgia Southern and the design team to blend diverse building components and materials into a cohesive structure. The finished feature successfully directs patrons into the garden, serves as an information hub and gathering spot, and demonstrates thoughtful environmental stewardship through creative reuse of existing materials.
A modern building with a flat roof, surrounded by trees and shrubs. Large planters with plants are placed near the entrance, and sunlight casts shadows on the ground. The sky is clear and blue.

Hubbard and Hudson Construction handled the build out for our Uptown Cheapskate store, and overall it was a solid experience. We're happy with how the store turned out and enjoyed working with Jake and his team.
