Emma Kelly Theater

Hubbard & Hudson led the restoration of the historic Emma Kelly Theater in Statesboro, addressing critical structural failures while preserving the building's historic character. Working with local designers and the City of Statesboro, the team restored the theater's original appearance and color palette.

About the Project

The historic Emma Kelly Theater faced significant structural challenges with a crumbling facade and deteriorating roof components that threatened the building's integrity. The project required expertise in both modern construction and historic preservation. Hubbard & Hudson collaborated with DPR Architecture and the City of Statesboro to develop a restoration plan that would address structural failures while honoring the theater's heritage. We replaced failing facade materials with durable modern alternatives that replicate the original appearance and restored the building's authentic color palette. The successful restoration preserved an important piece of Statesboro's cultural history while ensuring the theater remains safe and functional for future generations.

Coastal Drug

Hubbard & Hudson designed and constructed a modern 6,200-square-foot facility for Coastal Drug in Midway, Georgia. The new building not only accommodated the pharmacy's immediate expansion needs but also incorporated flexible space for future growth and additional healthcare services.

Hubbard & Hudson modernized and expanded the Wildlife Center's facilities at Georgia Southern University, creating enhanced spaces for both events and educational programming. The project included updating an outdoor pavilion and repurposing unused interior space for field trips and community gatherings.
